So as I’m reading and reviewing all these indie comics I figured I should make a page that details the diamonds in the rough that I’ve come across.
A lot of times I find REALLY bad ones, sometimes I find ones are that just inoffensive, and on occasion I find ones that I just want to scream about from the rooftops.
Check it out:
The Not So Golden Age
Golden aged, public domain, trailer park, goodness on a whole new level.
Bram the Yacoi
Pulpy, schlocky, barbarian-flavored wonderfulness.
Job Dun: Fat Assassin
An 18+ comedy scifi with a heart full of cholesterol and badassery.
The United
An honest to God solid Christian multi-publisher crossover.
Jackdaw
It’s like Watchmen, but with Batman… and way better than even that sounds.
C.U.P.I.D.S
Clever banter, great art, and a surprisingly good plot and world.
RATO
Visual story telling at it’s best with an 80s twist.
Slave
“Gladiator” meets Conan the Barbarian, but better than you are thinking it sounds.
Electrolyte
Clever dialogue, good plot, professional art. Put down Batman and go read it.
Turtle Guitar
An art piece with fantastic style.
Fates Abound
Crazy premise, a lot of fun. Don’t want to spoil it.
Exit Generation
Punky SciFi with out of this world artwork.
Salvagers
Grimy scifi at it’s finest! Well developed characters to boot.
Life & Death in Paradise
Visually awesome gang comic with out of this world art direction!
Scott,
I’d like to thank you for the kind review of “The Misadventures of Electrolyte.” Thanks for taking the time and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I just wanted to see what issues you have and don’t have at this point. I wrote eight issues– two this year– so let me know if you need any and I’ll ship them over to you. My direct email is preilly3000@gmail.com. Shoot me your address and I’ll get hard copies over to you. Also, all issues have just been approved on Comixology so I’m excited that we have digital covered there. Hope you’re doing well and have a great holiday season!
